Motivation! (Yes another Fitbit post)

As I mentioned, I am addicted to the Fitbit, and I wanted to share a bit about how it motivates.

Not only am I motivated by my desire to rack up steps, floors climbed, calories burned, etc.  I'm also motivated by earning "badges".  Now this may sound trivial to you, but to me....well let's just say it actually works.

Fitbit awards you badges for milestones met. So far I have my 20,000 steps badge (for over 20,000 steps in one day), my 50 Mile badge (for covering a total of 50 miles-hoping for another badge soon as I am now at 134 miles logged!), and my 25 floors climbed badge.  And yesterday, I received notification that I had received my Helicopter badge (!!!!).  Of course I had no idea what that meant until I opened it up:

Of course now I'm motivated to double that and reach 1,000 floors so I can see what the next badge is!  Yes, I'm a Fitbit geek.

Oh, and an update on what a good sleeper I am.  I've managed to walk and climb and workout so much that I am now logging 100% sleep efficiency.

Of course, it could be because I've subconsciously figured out how to keep my arm still all night long.

Chris came to bed the other night and apparently I was sleep talking to him about how I couldn't move my arm, and I had to keep it still, so I could be a good sleeper.  Apparently I've now motivated myself to sleep really well.  Not a bad side effect.

Hi Courtney, I was just wondering if you are still addicted to your Fitbit? I got the Fitbit One Feb. 25th and am addicted also. I was just wondering does this enthusiasm wear off eventually?
