Esme Jones was born Tuesday evening at 10:52 pm. Both mom and baby are healthy and happy!

6 lbs 5 oz.
18.75 inches
No pictures yet, my family and technology just don't seem to mix well. However a trip to Portland will occur shortly and pictures shall be taken!
Can't wait to meet the new little one so I can begin to spoil her, just like her big sisters.

Ares the Guest
Ares has moved into the guest room.
I've done a lot of work over the past year to make our guest bedroom a comfortable place for our guests who visit to stay.
New furniture, new bedding, new blinds, new windows (that actually open!!), and bed risers.
Apparently, the guest room is now just perfect for Ares, and he has moved in.
Every morning when I get up I pass by the guest room and there is Ares sleeping right in the middle of the bed.
Maybe it is because with the bed risers both Jet and Percy are banished, but I think it is because the room is just so comfy now even Ares appreciates it.

You Gotta Love Seattle
We installed a new rain barrel (60 Gallon!) last weekend and by yesterday afternoon it was already full.
We hadn't hooked up the overflow hose yet, so it made a bit of a mess.
Good ole Seattle weather.

NIA & My Big Toe
NIA is awesome.
If you've ever seen me dance you'd know why I loved it so much.
A lot of the steps resemble my "Toothbrush Dance", my "Pre-Bedtime Dance", and the "YAY WE HAVE POWER Dance".
There is crazy flowy choreography, jazz hands, stomping, and then all of a sudden the teacher cries out "Free Dance" and we get to shake whatever it is we feel like shaking! I left the class feeling like I'd had a great workout and my spirits were higher than they'd been in quite some time.
The only downside of the whole experience was the giant blister I now have on my big toe. NIA is performed barefoot on a gym type floor and apparently my toe did not appreciate it! Oh well, next time I'll just wrap that toe in ductape. I can't wait for my next NIA class!

NIA!
I'm pretty excited, tonight is my first Nia class at the High Point Community Center! Here is a description of Nia:
I've never taken anything like this so I'm nervous, but it sounds like a great workout and my fitness routine needs a serious face lift! Anyone have any experience with Nia? Any words of advice, or warning?
NIA (Neuromuscular Integrative Action) is a combination of modern dance, Yoga, Tai Chi, Tae Kwon Do, Aikido, Jazz, and ethnic dance which provides a fun, well balanced fitness modality that leaves the body, mind, and spirit wanting to come back for more.

Tidbits
Where is spring/summer?
Everything is soggy and gray....I can't remember a spring this gloomy in quite sometime.
On the way into work, NPR was talking about how it is going to be a nice dry day. Right then it began to rain on my windshield.
I want an iPhone, but I have a Blackberry that works perfectly fine. Please help me justify the switch.
I have so many things on my list for this weekend and all I really want to do is watch the tugboat races and enjoy the start of the Seattle Beer Week. Jet would like to go to the dog park, and he really needs a bath - or two. I also noticed an abundance of weeds in our yard this morning. Oh, and I'd like to go shopping for new curtains. Maybe I'll just sleep all weekend.
The keyboard on my laptop malfunctioned this week. It would have been really entertaining if it hadn't happened right in the middle of a huge event we were running. Every time I typed a t it would type t5. When I'd type a y it would type y6. And so on.... Get the gist? Can I just mention how incredibly annoying it was. Luckily IT only had to run off with it for 24 hours. Of course, those were the 24 hours were I was supposed to be creating the content for our huge post event party. Good times.....
Should I go to the gym at lunch today or go to Bellevue Square and buy an iPhone? Doesn't seem like much of a decision does it!
